All vehicles entering the Port would be expected to have all associated documents (Dock Receipts and Original Vehicle Title) prepared and grouped in order for vehicles to be cleared and stamped on time by Customs and Border Patrol.

Criteria for receiving all vehicles;

  • A key is needed.
  • There are no fluid leaks from the vehicles.
  • There will be no garbage or household items.
  • It must be free of mud and other contaminants.
  • To keep water out, any broken windows must be sealed.
  • Criteria for Receiving Runners (Cars/SUVs):
  • With no broken glass, bodily fluids, sharp metal, hanging burst airbags, or anything else that may damage the driver or obstruct the safe ability to drive the car, it must have a working driver’s seat door, seatbelt, a full windshield, be steerable, and have brakes.
  • The spare tire and the jack are the only items in the car.
  • Approximately one-fourth of a tank of gasoline
  • Non-Runners (cars and SUVs) must meet the following criteria in order to be accepted:

  • The spare tire and the jack are the only items in the car.
  • There isn’t even a quarter of a tank of gas left.
  • Criteria for Receiving Trucks:
  • There must be a working driver’s seat door, seatbelt, a full windshield, steerability, and brakes; no broken glass, bodily fluids, sharp metal, hanging burst airbags, or anything else that may damage the driver or affect the vehicle’s safe driving ability.
  • It should be in working order.
  • But for well-secured vehicle-specific spare parts, there is nothing in or on the truck.
  • Not less than a quarter tank of gas
  • There must be a working driver’s seat door, seatbelt, a full windshield, steerability, and brakes; no broken glass, bodily fluids, sharp metal, hanging burst airbags, or anything else that may damage the driver or affect the vehicle’s safe driving ability.
